Description

The Holy Pope is standing, with a tiara on his head, completely wrapped in a long cloak edged with a palmette motif. With his left hand, he holds a model of the city of L’Aquila, while with his right one, he probably held his crosier. Like the Madonna and Child Enthroned, Saint Peter Celestine was originally placed on the façade of Santa Maria di Collemaggio.
