The National Museum of Abruzzo in L’Aquila is offering visitors a long weekend break for the Epiphany holiday.
The museums will remain open as indicated below, and guided tours will be offered, included in the ticket price.
The eastern bastion of the Castle, which houses the fossilized mammoth skeleton, will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last admission at 5:30 p.m.).
Reservations
Reservations are required for groups of more than 20 people by emailing mn-abr.urp@cultura.gov.it.
The MuNDA headquarters located on Via Tancredi da Pentima (formerly the Slaughterhouse) will remain open according to its usual hours from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (last admission at 7:00 p.m.).
The Amphitheater and Theater of the Amiternum Archaeological Park will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
On January 6th, children entering the east bastion of the Castle and the Borgo Rivera headquarters will receive a free copy of the comic book “Quattro Chiacchiere” by artist Spugna, from the Fumetti nei musei series published by Coconino Press, subject to availability.
At the Borgo Rivera headquarters, at 4:30 p.m., it will be possible to participate in a guided tour led by Museum staff.
The tour is limited to 25 places, with no reservation required.
In the east bastion of the Castle, MuNDA staff is available for guided tours upon request.
