The National Museum of Abruzzo opens for Labor Day

On the occasion of Labor Day, May 1, 2025, the National Museum of Abruzzo in L’Aquila will be open to the public with the usual admission options:

  • The east bastion of the Castle, which houses the fossilized mammoth skeleton, will be open from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (last admission at 6:00 pm); the MuNDA headquarters on Via Tancredi da Pentima (formerly the Slaughterhouse) will be open from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm (last admission at 7:00 pm).

A single ticket is valid for a visit to the east bastion and the National Museum of Abruzzo on Via Tancredi da Pentima on the same day.

The Amphitheater and Theater of the Amiternum Archaeological Park will also be open to the public from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm (free admission with a separate ticket).

Reservations are required for groups of more than 20 people by emailing mn-abr.urp@cultura.gov.it

Full price: €7
Reduced price: €2 (ages 18 to 25, up to the day of their 25th birthday)
Free admission for children under 18 and in all cases permitted by the Ministry of Culture at this link:
