Description

The MuNDA houses a selection of works spanning the Middle Ages to the Modern Age, from artifacts from civilizations that flourished in the area, with finds from Amiternum, Aveia, and Peltuinum, to the late Gothic Beffi Triptych, the museum’s gem, all the way to Naturalism and the Baroque of 17th-century Abruzzo. These masterpieces testify to the identity, history, and vitality of the entire region’s culture, some of which were recovered from the earthquake rubble and given new life thanks to complex restoration projects.
