Description

The room rearranged in December 2022 following new and important acquisitions, is dedicated to nineteenth-century Abruzzo and houses paintings, drawings and sculptures, among which stand out I morticelli (1880) by Francesco Paolo Michetti, La lavandaia (1885-1888) by Pasquale Celommi and La Redenzione by Teofilo Patini (c. 1905), a work acquired in 2021. In September 2023 another painting by the same artist, Il Cobbler, entered the museum’s collections. The exhibition concludes chronologically with a work by the artist Emilio Greco (1913-1995), Nereide (1973), from the larger collection of works that the artist donated to the Museum in 1993.
