The Museo Nazionale d’Abruzzo dell’Aquila will be taking part in the participatory photography project promoted by L’Aquila City Council and organised by ArtsFor as part of the Inside Out Project, an international artistic initiative launched by the French artist JR and aimed at celebrating local communities through the creation and public display of large-format photographic portraits.
As part of the project, the photography team commissioned for the project will take portraits of the museum’s staff and any visitors who wish to take part in the initiative. The necessary administrative documentation (in particular, the consent forms) will be handled directly by the team members.
The event will take place on Wednesday 17 June, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, in the ground-floor loggia, immediately next to the ticket office. The equipment and the area for the photo shoot will be set up by the photography team in charge.
Museum visitors who are interested can contact the ticket office for information and details on how to take part in the initiative, which represents an important opportunity to engage the community and promote the cultural and social heritage of the local area.
