The National Museum of Abruzzo in L’Aquila is extending its opening hours to the public during July and August, significantly increasing opportunities for families, local residents, tourists, organisations and summer camps to visit the Museum and the exhibition La Visitazione all’Aquila. Raffaello e Pontormo, which will remain open until 27 September.
From 13 July, on Mondays – when the museum is normally closed to the public – it will be possible to visit the museum at the following times:
- 13/07/2026 from 2 pm to 5:30 pm (last entrance at 5 pm)
- 20/07/2026 from 10 am to 5:30 pm (last entrance at 5 pm)
- 27/07/2026 from 10 am to 5:30 pm (last entrance at 5 pm)
- 03/08/2026 from 10 am to 5:30 pm (last entrance at 5 pm)
- 10/08/2026 from 10 am to 5:30 pm (last entrance at 5 pm)
- 17/08/2026 from 10 am to 5:30 pm (last entrance at 5 pm)
- 24/08/2026 from 10 am to 5:30 pm (last entrance at 5 pm)
- 31/08/2026 from 10am to 5:30 pm (last entrance at 5 pm)
From 31 July, the Museum’s evening opening hours will also resume, with special opening hours on the following dates:
- 31/07/2026 from 7:00 pm to 9:40 pm (last entrance at 9 pm)
- 14/08/2026 from 7:00 pm to 9:40 pm (last entrance at 9 pm)
- 28/08/2026 from 7:00 pm to 9:40 pm (last entrance at 9 pm)
