During the upcoming Christmas holidays, the National Museum of Abruzzo will observe the following hours and closures:
- Friday, December 24th and 31st: 8:30 am – 2:00 pm – Ticket office closes at 1:30 pm
- Saturday, December 25th and January 1st: museum closed
- On other days, including January 6th, the museum is open as usual from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. The ticket office closes at 7:00 pm.
News: The entrance hall has been decorated with Emilio Greco’s large bronze Nereid (1973), now on display to the public after 12 years, surrounded by plaster casts of women’s faces that the artist donated to the National Museum of Abruzzo.
Also on display today, as from December 9, 2021, Saturnino Gatti’s Madonna di Collemaggio is back at the museum after the completion of the restoration funded by MuNDA.
