Mammut opens from May 10th to September 7th 2025

The Castle’s eastern bastion, which houses the fossilized mammoth skeleton, will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with last admission at 6:30 p.m., on the following days:

  • May: 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, and 31
  • June: 1 (Sunday at the museum: free admission), 2 (free admission), 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29
  • July: 5, 6 (Sunday at the museum: free admission), 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27
  • August: 2, 3 (Sunday at the museum: free admission), 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
  • September: 6, 7 (Sunday at the museum: free admission)

East Bastion of the Castello cinquecentesco, 9:00 am – 7:00 pm (last admission 6:30 pm)

National Museum of Abruzzo, Borgo Rivera branch, 8:30 am – 7:30 pm (last admission 7:00 pm)

Tickets

Full price: €7
Reduced price: €2 (ages 18 to 25, up to the day of their 25th birthday)

Free admission for children under 18 and in all cases permitted by the Ministry of Culture at this link: cultura.gov.it/agevolazioni

Tickets for the National Museum of Abruzzo can be purchased directly at the ticket office or on the Italian Museums portal at museiitaliani.it or on the Musei Italiani app.

The combined ticket is valid for a single visit to the east bastion and the National Museum of Abruzzo, located on Via Tancredi da Pentima, on the same day. The museum’s opening hours are as follows:

Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (last admission at 7:00 p.m.).
