From January 12th until May 5th, 2024, the Mammoth will be open in the Castle’s east bastion.
The Castle’s east bastion, which houses the fossilized skeleton of the Mammoth, will be open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with last admission at 6:00 p.m., on the following days:

  • January:
    12, 13, and 14; 19, 20, and 21; 26, 27, and 28
  • February:
    2, 3, and 4; 9, 10, and 11; 16, 17, and 18; 23, 24, and 25
  • March:
    1, 2, and 3; 8, 9, and 10; 15, 16, and 17; 22, 23, and 24; 29, 30, and 31
  • April:
    1; 5, 6, and 7; 12, 13, and 14; 19, 20, and 21; 25, 26, 27, and 28
  • May:
    1, 2, 3, 4, and 5

Tickets

The combined ticket is valid for a single-day visit to the eastern bastion and the National Museum of Abruzzo, located on Via Tancredi da Pentima. The museum is open to the public during the following hours:
Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (last admission at 7 p.m.).
Reservations are required for school groups and groups of more than 20 people by emailing mn-abr.urp@cultura.gov.it
Single ticket: full price €4, reduced price €2 for those aged 18-25, free for those under 18.
From April 1st, the full price ticket will be €7; all reductions and free admissions provided for by ministerial regulations will remain unchanged.
Tickets for the National Museum of Abruzzo can be purchased directly at the ticket office or on the Italian Museums portal at www.museiitaliani.it or on the Italian Museums app.
