During the months of August and September, the Castle’s eastern bastion, which houses the fossilized mammoth skeleton, will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with last admission at 6:30 p.m., on the following days:

2, 3 (Sunday at the museum: free admission), 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 - September
6, 7 (Sunday at the museum: free admission), 13, 14, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28 (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
The Mammoth can also be visited from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every evening from August 17 to 30. and the evenings of September 26 and 27 (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM).
The ticket is valid for a single visit to the east bastion and the National Museum of Abruzzo, located on Via Tancredi da Pentima, on the same day. The museum is open to the public during the following
hours:
- Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM (last admission 7:00 PM).
