Since April, in celebration of the 2025 Jubilee, the National Museum of Abruzzo in L’Aquila has launched an annual program of thematic guided tours. Each month, visitors will discover a different itinerary inspired by the major themes of the Sacred, and learn about the Museum’s archaeological and historical-artistic heritage.
On October 3rd at 11:00 a.m., a thematic guided tour dedicated to the Franciscan Itinerary will take place at the Museum’s Borgo Rivera headquarters.
In the year dedicated to the Jubilee of Hope and the month celebrating St. Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of Italy, the MuNDA is offering a guided tour in October to discover, through the works on display in the museum, the importance of the Franciscan Order’s presence in Abruzzo, both as patrons of artworks and pictorial cycles and as subjects of the works themselves, in the figures of St. Francis, St. Bernardine, St. John of Capistrano, and all the most famous Franciscan saints.
Information
The guided tours listed in the Jubilee 2025 catalog, “The Sacred Paths in MuNDA” conducted by Museum staff and lasting one hour, will be held by reservation from Tuesday to Friday.
