On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Giuseppe Capogrossi (Rome, March 7, 1900 – October 9, 1972), the National Museum of Abruzzo is commemorating one of the fathers of Informal painting and 20th-century Italian art by participating in a multi-venue exhibition conceived by the Capogrossi Archive Foundation, which has brought together over 35 Italian museums and institutions that hold the artist’s works in their collections.
For this occasion, starting October 9, 2022, the Museum will once again make the work Paesaggio (1949) visible to the public. The exhibition is highlighted in the Franciscan Hall of the former slaughterhouse, alongside other masterpieces from various historical periods from its collection.
