On August 15th, the National Museum of Abruzzo in L’Aquila will remain open to the public with its usual opening hours and access.
The Borgo Rivera branch of the National Museum of Abruzzo and the east bastion of the 16th-century castle, featuring the fossilized mammoth skeleton, will be open to the public during the following hours:
- Borgo Rivera branch from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, with last admission at 7:00 pm;
- the east bastion of the castle from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with last admission at 6:30 pm.
A separate free ticket is available for visits to the Amiternum Archaeological Park:
- The Amphitheater, from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, and the Theater, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
MuNDA will also remain open on August 16th and 17th with the same hours, which are summarized as follows:
- Borgo Rivera site from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, with last admission at 7:00 pm;
- East bastion of the Castle from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with last admission at 6:30 pm.
- Amiternum Archaeological Park: Amphitheater, from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm and Theater, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
- On August 17th, the Mammoth, exhibited in the east bastion of the 16th-century Castle, will also be open in the evenings from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm (last admission at 10:30 pm).
Please note that the Museum and Mammoth opening hours on August 15th are not free.
