On September 25, the National Museum of Abruzzo (MUNDA) is participating in the 2026 edition of UnivAQ Street Science. The day will feature a series of events offering the public a chance to attend presentations and in-depth sessions, gaining insight into the core activities of studying, preserving, and showcasing cultural heritage.
The sessions will highlight a restoration project currently underway at the Museum, diagnostic analyses performed on works from the MUNDA collections, and activities at the Amiternum Archaeological Park—including the 2025 excavation campaign and the artifact reorganization and cataloging project conducted in collaboration with the L’Aquila Archeoclub.
Through dialogue with conservators, diagnostic specialists, archaeologists, and industry professionals, the public will discover diverse yet complementary research methodologies, tools, and experiences—all capable of transforming the study of material objects into knowledge, preservation, and the storytelling of Abruzzo’s cultural heritage.
