Throughout the summer, from Tuesday to Friday, the National Museum of Abruzzo in L’Aquila offers a training program for local summer camps. This program includes fun and educational activities for children aged 4 to 14. Using a vocabulary suitable for younger children, it aims to convey and introduce the treasures of MuNDA: thematic guided tours, treasure hunts, drawings, and interactive games.
Children will be guided through an exploration program that encourages personal, more conscious, and in-depth interaction with the works of art and archaeology.
Reservations are required with a minimum of 5 children.
The activities will take place at all three locations of the institute:
Amiternum Archaeological Park
- Discovering the ancient city of Amiternum: a day of history, art, and nature
- Mammoth East Bastion of the 16th-Century Castle
- Facing the Giant: Guided afternoon tour to discover the 1,300,000-year-old fossil of the Mammuthus meridionalis
