Ferragosto 2024 at the National Museum of Abruzzo

On August 15th, the National Museum of Abruzzo – L’Aquila will remain open to the public with its usual opening hours and access methods.

The eastern bastion of the Castle, which houses the fossilized mammoth skeleton, will be open to the public from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm (last admission at 6:30 pm); the MuNDA headquarters on Via
Tancredi da Pentima will be open to the public from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm (last admission at 7:00 pm).
The same opening hours will also be observed on August 16th, 17th, and 18th.

Reservations are required for groups of more than 20 people by emailing mn-abr.urp@cultura.gov.it.

The ticket is valid for a single visit to both museums on the same day.

Please note that August 15th is not a free opening.

Single ticket: full price €7,
reduced price €2 for those aged 18-25,
free for those under 18.
