On July 7th, the Ministry of Culture’s “Domenica al Museo” initiative, which provides free admission to all state cultural sites on the first Sunday of the month, will be held again.
The Borgo Rivera branch of the National Museum of Abruzzo and the east bastion of the 16th-century Castle, featuring the fossilized mammoth skeleton,

will be open to the public during the following hours:

  • Borgo Rivera branch of the National Museum of Abruzzo from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, with last admission at 7:00 pm;
  • the east bastion of the Castle from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with last admission at 6:30 pm, and, with special opening hours for the 2nd edition of the Festival of Medieval Cities, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm (last admission at 10:30 pm).

Tickets

Free tickets can be obtained directly at the ticket office or via the Italian Museums portal at museiitaliani.it or on the Musei Italiani app, by selecting the visit options ‘Sunday at the Museum.
