With encouraging tourist traffic at the National Museum of Abruzzo in July and August (up 30% compared to 2022), the Mammut, located in the Castello Cinquecentesco, will be open for the Perdonanza (Forgiveness) from August 23rd to 27th, including evening hours: 9:30 am to 11:00 pm (ticket office closes at 10:30 pm).
The MuNDA on Via Tancredi da Pentima (formerly the Slaughterhouse), opposite the 99 Cannelle, will instead observe its usual hours: 8:30 am to 7:30 pm (ticket office closes at 7:00 pm).
Furthermore, on Monday the 28th, the key day of the Perdonanza, there will be special opening hours at both locations during regular hours (Mammut: 9:30 am – 7:30 pm; MuNDA 8:30 am – 7:30 pm. Last admissions at 7:00 pm).
Please note that, in compliance with Circular No. 86 of August 11, 2023, issued by the Directorate General of Museums of the Ministry of Culture, the €1 increase in admission fees to all state-owned museums and cultural sites has been extended until December 15, 2023. All proceeds from this temporary increase will be used entirely to address the emergency in the areas affected by the floods.
