On June 1st, the Ministry of Culture’s “Domenica al Museo” initiative returns, offering free admission to all state cultural sites on the first Sunday of every month.

The Borgo Rivera branch of the National Museum of Abruzzo, the east bastion of the Castello cinquecentesco, featuring a mammoth fossil skeleton, and the Amphitheater of the Amiternum Archaeological Park will be open to the public during the following hours:

  • Borgo Rivera branch of the National Museum of Abruzzo from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, with last admission at 7:00 pm;
  • east bastion of the Castello cinquecentesco from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, with last admission at 6:00 pm;
  • Amphitheater of the Amiternum Archaeological Park from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm (free admission with a separate ticket).

Tickets

The free ticket is valid for a single visit to both museums on the same day and can be purchased directly at the ticket office or on the Italian Museums portal at www.museiitaliani.it or on the Italian Museums app, choosing the Sunday at the museum visit type.
