As part of the collateral activities for the exhibition “Giulio Cesare and Francesco Bedeschini. Drawing and Invention in L’Aquila in the Seventeenth Century,” a study day open to the public entitled “The Bedeschinis Meet the City” will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 9:45 a.m. in the Auditorium of the Carispaq Foundation. Speakers will include Marta Vittorini, director of the L’Aquila State Archives; Simonetta Prosperi Valenti Rodinò, curator of the exhibition; Federica Zalabra, director of the National Museum of Abruzzo and curator of the exhibition; Carlotta Paola Brovadan, Ministry of Education and Merit; and Tancredi Farina, University of L’Aquila.
At the National Museum of Abruzzo on Via Tancredi da Pentima, at 2:30 p.m., participants will be able to take a guided tour of the exhibition accompanied by the curators.
This third event continues the series of free lectures dedicated to exploring the themes of the exhibition “Giulio Cesare and Francesco Bedeschini. Drawing and Invention in L’Aquila in the Seventeenth Century,” curated by Michele Maccherini, Luca Pezzuto, Simonetta Prosperi Valenti, and Federica Zalabra. The series will culminate on February 28 and 29, 2024, with the international conference “Outside the Center. Drawing and Invention in Middle and Southern Italy (16th-18th Centuries),” which will take place in the Auditorium of the Carispaq Foundation and in the “Alessandro Clementi” Aula Magna of the University of L’Aquila.
