From March 6 to May 8, 2025, the National Museum of Abruzzo in L’Aquila is organizing “Restoration Thursdays,” an initiative to disseminate the museum’s scientific work. This program includes presentations of non-invasive diagnostics and art restoration, as well as guided tours of the restored paintings.
The “Restoration Thursdays” series of meetings aims to offer a comprehensive exploration of the MuNDA’s works undergoing restoration, with a meticulous focus on the museum’s work in conservation and artistic protection.
This unique perspective will be presented by the key figures, restorers, and diagnosticians, who will illustrate the genesis of the works, starting with the material and culminating in the exhibition of conservation projects, the results of diagnostic analyses, and restoration techniques and methodologies.
The series is divided into six meetings.
