International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The MuNDA – National Museum of Abruzzo is participating in the Ministry of Culture’s “One Day a Year, All Year Round” initiative on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with an institutional awareness-raising event: The Old Farm in LIS, an educational workshop for all children aged 5 to 10, including those with hearing impairments.
The initiative, which will take place on Saturday, December 3rd at 5:00 PM, is organized with the AquilArtes Association, which has long been involved in events accessible to people with sensory disabilities, in collaboration with the Provincial Section of the Deaf Organization of L’Aquila.
Through a three-part game, participants will discover the world of Italian Sign Language:
- Letters and finger spelling: Let’s spell our names together!
- How to sign animals: Let’s find out together!
- Let’s sing and sign the song “The Old Farm” together.
At the end of the workshop, each child will receive a bookmark specially made with the letters of finger spelling.
