During the months of August and September, the Castle’s eastern bastion, which houses the fossilized skeleton of the Mammoth, will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with last admission at 6:30 p.m., on the following days:
August
2, 3 (Sunday at the museum: free admission), 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
September
6, 7 (Sunday at the museum: free admission), 13, 14, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28 (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
The Mammoth can also be visited from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every evening from the 17th to August 30th and the evenings of September 26th and 27th (8:00 PM – 11:00 PM).
The ticket is valid for a single visit to the eastern bastion and the National Museum of Abruzzo, located on Via Tancredi da Pentima, on the same day. The museum is open to the public during the following hours:
Tuesday to Sunday, 8:30 AM – 7:30 PM (last admission at 7:00 PM).
