On October 14th, the New Acquisitions exhibition, which will remain open to the public until November 5th, concludes with the arrival of a masterpiece: the large tempera panel on a gold background by the Master of the Beffi Triptych, the Dormitio Virginis, a high point of late 14th-century Abruzzo art.
The work, which underwent conservative restoration by the Spoleto-based cooperative Coo.Be.c. several months ago, can be admired in the room dedicated to the exhibition inaugurated on September 22nd, starting Saturday, October 14th.
From the following Tuesday, visitors will be able to converse with restorer Luana Casaglia, who will carry out the final conservation operations and illustrate the final stages of the restoration. This “open site” is accessible to the public from Tuesday to Friday during museum opening hours.
