Description

The fresco was discovered in the early 1970s during restoration work at the church of San Quinziano di Pile, known as San Pietro di Sassa and now San Biagio. In a subtly depicted landscape, the apostles are shown around the now empty tomb of the Virgin, who, surrounded by a glory of angels,is crowned by her Son in heaven.
